get involved

EMCS Society wants to give you the chance to create a lasting impact within your community.  We are always looking for instructors of all varieties for our Community Education courses and other opportunities are listed below.

* Volunteers must complete an application and if working with youth, must complete a Criminal Record check. *

 

Drop-In Sports Host

We host drop-in sports throughout the school year in the evenings at Journey Middle School.  These roles have a sign up sheet, so you can choose the dates and times that suit you best.  Even if it's one day a month, it is a great assistance! 

 

Volleyball:

Tuesdays 

6:00-7:30 pm Ages 11-13

7:30-9:00 pm Ages 14 to adult

 

Badminton:

 Wednesdays - Journey Middle School Gym

6-7:15 pm - Beginners/Everyone welcome

7:15-9 pm - Advanced

 

Basketball:

Fridays 
6-7 pm - U15
7-9 pm - O16 

Solstice/Equinox Meal Volunteers

Help prepare and serve a meal with community.  

Movie Night

Host a movie at the Community Theatre at EMCS for all to enjoy.  Open theatre, set up streaming, take cash at the door and close theatre after movie.  Sign up for one or all!

Instruct a Course

You can host as a volunteer or for profit!  We offer a 60/40 split with our instructors.  Our 40% fee covers space, parking, insurance ($5 million), registration and marketing.  We have AV equipment, sewing machines, woodshop, weight lifting equipment and much more!
