Digital Creative Arts Lab

The Digital Creative Arts Lab (DCAL) is the latest addition to the Sooke Makerspace that gives local creators access to a fully outfitted audio recording and editing suite.


OPEN SATURDAYS 9AM-4PM & SUNDAYS 1-4PM

Making more space for creativity.

The Digital Creative Arts Lab was created in order to give local creators access to a fully equipped audio recording and editing suite. It's a space to record and edit music demos, voiceovers, podcasts and whatever else you can dream up!

  • New 24" iMac workstation w/ Apple Garageband

  • M-Audio Keystation49 midi controller

  • Korg M1 synthesizer (vintage)

  • Fender Squier guitar & bass

  • Audio Technica headphones

  • Allen & Heath Zed 10FX mixer / USB interface 

  • Boss Katana 50 watt guitar amplifiers (2)

  • Fender Rumble Bass amp

  • Shure SM58 microphones

  • Shure SM7B microphone

  • Instrument & Equipment Cables

Booking

New users are required to attend a short orientation session before booking the Creative Lab. Orientations are free and take place on the first Sunday of the month from 12-1pm starting Nov. 3rd. Email makerspace.sooke(at)gmail(dot)com to RSVP.

Following orientation, you can book a session in the Creative Lab by contacting Barb in the EMCS Society office 250-642-6371 (online registration coming soon).

 

Sessions are $30 per 90min time slot. Please indicate what time slot you want to book when calling.

Saturday

  1. Sat 9-10:30am

  2. Sat 10:30am-12pm

  3. Sat 1-2:30pm

  4. Sat 2:30-4pm

Sunday

  1. Sun 1-2:30pm

  2. Sun 2:30-4pm
