This introductory workshop offers participants both theory and practical field experience in the art of beekeeping for beginners. Learn about structure of the colony, physiology of the honey bee, players in the colony, honey bee nutrition, swarming and control methods, natural and integrated pest management, hive management for production and harvest.  Pending COVID-19 restrictions, there will be an optional field trip to the farm to view methods in practice for an additional $50.
