CNC Carving Workshop v2.0 Design & Carve A Custom Sign
This course is intended to teach students the fundamentals of CNC routing, from design to final production. On completion of the workshop students will be prepared to utilize the Sooke Makerspace for their own projects during regular drop-in hours.

During the workshop, we’ll walk through the set-up, designing and carving of a simple project so you become familiar with all the steps of basic CNC routing, including:
* Learn how to design a basic text sign in VCarve software
* Creating toolpaths and exporting a file for carving
* Choosing appropriate bits for different routing options
* Setting up the CNC router and changing bits during production

Date: Sunday, May 26th 1-3pm*

Location: Sooke Makerspace @EMCS 

Cost: $40 GST (includes a piece of cedar ready to be carved)
