Garden Program

The Garden Coordinator works across 3 schools in SD62 to support school gardens. 

A primary point person from each school:  EMCS, Belmont Secondary, and Royal Bay Secondary, works together to inform priorities and goals for the Garden Coordinator and the EMCS Society fiscally hosts the position.

Each summer, we hire local youth as Garden Assistants through the Canada Summer Jobs program.  They assist in the school gardens as well as help deliver the summer work experience program: Growth Mindset. 

Students can enroll to work in the school gardens to earn school credit each summer.
