CASA Community Garden Program

Join a growing movement in Sooke!
It all started with a seed... The seed, that is the CASA Community Garden, was planted in the summer of 2005. With the help of volunteers, the CASA service agencies and local businesses, this seed has bloomed into the beautiful teaching space that it is today. This year, with the assistance of Vancity and Coast Capital Savings, we are fortunate to have a Garden Project Coordinator, Julia Kemp. We invite you to drop by to visit the Julia in the garden, have some tea, socialize, dig, and be a part of our garden. We welcome gardeners of all levels of expertise, from never-had-your-hands-dirty-but-want-to-learn folks, to you green thumb types.

Come join our garden gatherings each Mon, Wed and Fri from 10:00 am - 1:30 pm.

This is an opportunity to meet other people interested in gardening, enjoy some healthy activity in the fresh air, learn about gardening, or share your expertise with others. Throughout the spring and summer we will be running workshops on various gardening topics such as bed prep, planting, irrigation, composting. Learn to grow food in your own back yard again and enjoy the healthy, unmatched flavour and food value of locally grown produce. Watch for details through this web site.
